Town of Fairview Park
              Minutes of the February 11, 2003 Meeting

  The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. Roll call was taken with council members James Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Smith and David Crane and Attorney Henry J. Antonini present.
  The minutes of the January meeting and financial report were approved with a motion by Tonya and seconded by David. The motion carried by voice vote.
   Larry advised he signed an agreement to place the EOC siren at the well field site. Vicky Francis will be at the next meeting to go over the procedure for the siren. Larry said the siren is solar powered and that after the disposal of the VX, the siren may be given back.
   Clinton Township Water representative, Sonny Carey, passed out a letter to the Council and requested permission to install a 12 inch water main Directional boring under 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th streets parallel to SR 63 on the west side. He advised that no pavement would be disturbed. He also advised that Clinton Township Water Corp. plans to install an access in the main at 1st Street by the Corner Stop to be used in an emergency by Fairview Park Water Dept. A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by Jim to grant Township water an easement to place the water main under the road at I st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th' streets. The motion carried by voice vote. Mr. Carey advised the Council that they have 2 wells certified at 955 gallons per minute and that they had talked with the high school about supplying their water. He also said the project would install new fire hydrants at Pike and SR 63 and between Pike and SR 163 along SR 63.
   After reviewing the Wastewater Budget Estimate a motion was made by Jim and seconded by David to approve said. The motion carried by voice vote.
   The Council decided to interview applicants for the Town Marshal's position before making an appointment. An executive meeting was set for Tuesday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall with a motion made by Tonya and seconded by David. The motion carried by voice vote.
    A complaint was received from Carol Lemay about an abandoned trailer in the area of 665 S. Davis St. belonging to Mick & Lisa Price. Henry will send them a letter.
    Phyllis Lambert advised that Council member Norma Snedeker is recovering nicely from 2 knee replacement surgeries.
    Tonya relayed a request from the Fire Department to approve having new doors installed. A motion was made to approve the request by Tonya and seconded by David. The motion carried by voice vote.
    The Police Log was turned in for January.
A motion was made by Jim and seconded by Tonya to pay the Town claims in the amount of $13,593.18, the wastewater claims of $7,692.65 and the water department claims in the amount of $5,967.50. The motion carried by voice vote.
