                          Minutes of the June 12, 2001 Meeting

         The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday , June 12, 2001 at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building. Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Tonya Smith, and David Crane and Attorney Henry J. Antonini present.
        The minutes of the May meeting and financial report were approved with a motion by David and seconded by Jim. The motion carried by voice vote.
         Lon Gardner , Hannum , Wagle & Cline advised that Division A Section III is basically complete, Section II will be complete by late August and Section I will be complete in November. Two change orders for Division B were presented to the Council. 1) Install ductile iron pipe at drop manhole at an increase of $823.96 and 2) Fiberglass building to house flocculation equipment at an increase of $15,973.28. A motion was made by David and seconde by Jim to approve the above changes. The motion carried by voice vote. Lon presented 2 inspected and approved pay requests for contractors.
         Several residents commented on the excess dust, grading of roads and clean up from the sewer project. Lon advised he would relay the comments and complaints to the contractor.
         A letter was received from George Nicholas advising that they would not be using the ballpark this summer and requesting that the lease agreement be voided. A motion was made by David and seconded by Jim to void the lease. The motion carried by voice vote.
         Resident Roberta Luce requested a definition of a structure and attached. The definition according to our rate ordinance will be checked.
         The preliminary report from the Census Bureau shows Fairview Park's 2000 count as 1496 an increase of 50 people.
         Sue advised she would be sending out the annual Consumer CConfidence letter shortly.
         Transfer Resolution 2001-04, transferring $10,000 from CCIF to the General Fund as advertised in the 2001 budget was passed with a motion Jim and seconded by David. The motion carried by voice vote.
         Quention Ave requested clarification of the Burning Ordinance.
         Mr. & Mrs. Andy Beverly complained of the condition of the property next door. Henry suggested that the Council inspect the property to see what needs to be done.
         The Police Log was turned in for May.
         A motion was made by David and seconded by Jim to pay the Town claims in the amount of $32,583.07 , the wastewater claims of $542,876.67 and the Water Department claims in the amount of $11,958.58. The motion carried by voice vote.
         The meeting adjourned at 7:14 p.m. with a motion by David and seconded by Jim. The motion carried by voice vote.
