Town of Fairview Park
                         Minutes of the March 11, 2003 Meeting

  The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. Roll call was taken with council members James Hall, Larry Natalie and David Crane and Attorney Henry J. Antonini present.
  The minutes of the February meetings and financial report were approved with a motion by Jim and seconded by David. The motion carried by voice vote.
  John Newman Sr. was appointed as Town Marshal beginning April 1, 2003. Rick will continue as Deputy Marshal.
  Vicky Francis from the EOC explained about the siren that has been installed at the WWTP. The tones will sound for 30 seconds every day and chimes will sound on Wednesdays. There will be an ad placed in the paper and magnets were given to be passed out to Fairview Park residents.
  Richard Kelley complained that dogs come into his yard at all times. Marshal Baker will talk to the dog owners after the meeting. Mr. Kelley asked about paving Parke. He was advised that as money became available streets not paved during the wastewater project would be targeted.
  Linda Natalie also requested that Cherry St. north of 2nd be paved or that additional rock be hauled in. Her complaint will be addressed in the near future.
  Roy Kelley complained of a drop off at 5th and Fulton and would like to have road pack placed there. Mr. Kelley was advised that this area was still on the punch list for the contractor to address.
  Sue asked when water service was to be shut off to the Ellis RV Park. Teresa will check minutes and advise.
  It was announced that sewer summer rates would be in effect for the months of June, July and August.
  Mary Kay advised that someone tried to remove the water deposit safe from the wall. They were unsuccessful and repairs were made.
  Chuck Strobel advised that the WWTP system is working great.
  The Police Log was turned in for February.
  A motion was made by David and seconded by Jim to pay the Town claims in the amount of $9,412.55, the wastewater claims of $5,650.30 and the water department claims in the amount of $7,296.96. The motion carried by voice vote.
  The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m. with a motion by Jim and seconded by David. The motion carried by voice vote.
