Town of Fairview Park
                               Minutes of the November 12, 2002 Meeting

  The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building. Roll call was taken with council members James Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Smith, Norma Snedeker and David Crane and Attorney Henry J. Antonini present.
  The minutes of the October meeting and financial report were approved with a motion by Tonya and seconded by Norma. The motion carried by voice vote.
  Henry will get the letters out soon on the chicken and rooster complaint and also the abandoned vehicle complaint Henry advised he had received a letter from an attorney concerning the deer on 2nd Street. The attorney feels like the deer should be grandfathered in. Henry advised that possibly one of the deer would be grandfathered, but the additional 4 would not. A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by David to have Henry pursue the ordinance violation by filing a case with the court. The motion carried by voice vote.
  Jack Barnard requested the removal of a trailer at 351 S. Parke from the sewer/water as it is only being used for storage. A motion was made by Jim and seconded by Norma to shut off service and discontinue billing for that trailer. The motion carried by voice vote.
  Teresa presented information for firemen's accident and sickness insurance. The premiums for the current carrier, Nationwide, have averaged around $1,900 for the last three years, with premiums being based on number of runs. A quote from Forrest Sherer was for $1,425 with a 3 year commitment with the premium not affected by the number of runs.
  A pay request was received from B & T for the $10,000 retainage. After discussion it was decided that the sewer punch list has not been completed to the Town's satisfaction. A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by Norma to table payment until everything has been done to the Town's satisfaction.
Town Marshal Rick Baker advised that the Ameritech box has still not been moved. Rick will call Ameritech and check the status.
  Wilson Insurance sent a letter advising that Hastings Landscaping has gone out of business and has requested that their bond be cancelled. A motion was made by Norma and seconded by Tonya to not release the bond until its expiration date of April 19, 2003. The motion carried by voice vote.
  The Police Log was turned in for October.
  A motion was made by Norma and seconded by David to pay the Town claims in the amount of $23,002.36, the wastewater claims of $13,332.66 and the water department claims in the amount of $11,166.74. The motion carried by voice vote.
  The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m. with a motion by Tonya and seconded by Jim. The motion carried by voice vote.
