Minutes of the April 13 2010 Meeting
The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Jim Snider, David Crane and Jim Moore and attorney Henry L. Antonini present. A motion was made by Jim Hall and seconded by Jim Moore to accept the minutes of the March meeting and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
The Council is still looking at a golf cart ordinance. There is no deadline to pass an ordinance. Larry would like to have a decision by the next meeting.
David advised that the condition of his alley continues to deteriorate due to trash trucks. Brian did speak with the other haulers, but will talk with Republic. For uniformity, if an ordinance is passed there will be no exceptions for portions of alleys.
Sue was advised to use the portable meter for new pools or extreme cases with the water to run off of a garden hose.
There is a burn ordinance prohibiting burning after 6:00 p.m. with the exception of cooking fires.
Marshal Butch Garver has met with all reserves and feel they are doing a good job. One of the reserves requests a leave due to personal problems. Butch asked for protocol for putting a new reserve on. He was advised that the council would review any applications and then make recommendations.
Butch also requested a small room in the old Town Hall to use as a Marshal's office. A motion was made by Jim Moore and seconded by David to build a 12x12 office in the old Town Hall for the Marshal's office. The motion carried by voice vote.
A motion was made by Jim Snider and seconded by Jim Moore to pay the Town claims in the amount of $9,459.79, the water department claims in the amount of $10,214.56 and the wastewater claims in the amount of $10,822.83. The motion carried by voice vote.
The meeting adjourned at 7:52 p.m. with a motion by David and seconded by Jim Snider. The motion carried by voice vote.

Minutes of the April 26, 2010 Special Meeting
The Town Council held a special meeting on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Jim Snider, David Crane and Jim Moore present.
Larry met with Kristy Jerrrell and Eric Smith concerning the water grant. He was advised that 14 communities were vying for the grants and that most of the other communities had contributed monies towards their projects. After discussion, a motion was made by Jim Moore and seconded by Jim Hall to commit $15,000 towards the project. The motion carried by voice vote.
The meeting adjourned at 7:08 p.m. with a motion by Jim Snider and second by Jim Moore. The motion carried by voice vote.
