                     Minutes of the August 13, 2013 Meeting


                      The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, August 13,2013 at 7:00
p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Smith, Phyllis Lambert and Jim Moore and Attorney Henry Antonini was present. A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by Phyllis to accept the minutes of the July meeting as corrected and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
                       Sue advised that grass had been cut once and then let go. She will send one more letter and have Marshal deliver any returned mail.
                       Jim Moore is still reviewing the burning ordinance.
                       Henry advised that he had a call into IACT for any statutes etc ... dealing with fireworks.
                       Tonya asked the Marshal to talk with resident on Lincoln about a bucket truck parked too close to the road. She also advised of a tree that needs cut at Pike and Kibby due to blocking driver's view. Sue will check.
                       It was advised that our current grant administrator, Kristy Jerrell, no longer works for WCIED and has started her own grant administration business. After discussion a motion was made by Jim Moore and seconded by Phyllis to send notice to WCIED to terminate the contract for grant administration concerning the water project. The motion carried by voice vote.
                       A motion was made by Jim Moore and seconded by Tonya to hire Jerrell Consulting to administer the grant for the Water project. The motion carried by voice vote.
                       A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by Jim Hall to approve Mary Kay's bond. The motion carried by voice vote.
                       Sue advised that she received an inspection letter stating that the south well needs attention. She was advised to hold offand get an estimate from the company that will be doing the work on the new well.
                       Teresa advised due to problems with the air conditioning and an inspection showing a crack in the furnace, both were replaced.
                       A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by Phyllis to pay the Town claims in the amount of $16,781.72, the water department claims in the amount of $8,682.56 and the wastewater claims in the amount of $7,333.72. The motion carried by voice vote.
                       The meeting adjourned at 7:31 p.m. with a motion by Tonya and seconded by Jim Hall.
