Minutes of the August 12, 2014 Meeting
The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Smith, Phyllis Lambert and Jim Moore and Attorney Henry Antonini was present. A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by Phyllis to accept the minutes of the July meeting and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
Eric Smith advised that the Water project is in the close out phase. The punch list has been completed at the well field and that one piece of equipment needs to be switched out. He recommended the release of all retainage. The 1 year warranty would start from now.
A motion was made by Jim Hall and seconded by Tonya to approve the pay request to National Water Service for $23,633.65. The motion carried by voice vote.
A motion was made by Phyllis and seconded by Tonya to approve change order #5 to add $9,000 for additional excavation work and installation of a master meter at the well field. The motion carried by voice vote.
Jim Snider complained of dogs running loose on Plum and Kibby Streets.
Mary Kay advised that Ms. Porter that lives west of the town hall was upset about people parking in her lot. Sue will put up signs.
Don Klinge advised that they now have 17 volunteers. The trucks passed the checks and are rated 5.
A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by Phyllis to pay the Town claims in the amount of $15,929.43, the water department claims in the amount of $51,848.91 and the wastewater claims in the amount of $15,935.66. The motion carried by voice vote.
The meeting adjourned at 7:21 p.m. with a motion by Tonya and seconded by Jim Hall. The motion carried by voice vote.
