                        Minutes of the January 10th, 2023 Meeting

           The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday January 10th, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Cox and Larry Wilson, all present, Jim Moore and Attorney Henry Antonini was absent, Attorney Scott Skillman filled in for Henry. A motion was made by Tonya Cox and seconded by Larry Wilson to accept the minutes of the December meeting and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
           First up were appointments for 2023. Tonya Cox made the motion to retain everyone in the same positions as they were in 2022 as well as the engineering firm and fire department contract, Jim Hall seconded the motion, motion carried by voice vote. The positions are as follows, Town Board President, Larry Natalie Park Superintendent, Jim Hall Town Attorney, Henry Antonini Town Marshal, Curtis Stoffel Water Office Manager, Mary Kay Frazier Street & Water Employees, Ralph Leonard & Bryce Magee Superintend, Susan Crossley Engineering Firm HWC and renew the contract with the Fairview Park Volunteer Fire Department.
            Angie Riggen was unable to attend the meeting no update was given for the pickle ball courts.
           Mike Kelley is still not pleased with the water line that was installed on his property, he stated that the last freeze we had the line froze up, he also requested a copy of the itemized cost for the job which he said he had requested once already but never received. Mike said the project was not done how it was planned and he wanted to inform the board of it. Larry said the town would replace the meter and the line can be installed deeper at that time.
            Tonya Cox thanked Public Safety Officer Mike Ray for all the patrolling he has done during the school morning hours, Curtis said that being seen out does slow people down, Larry asked about the electric speed limit signs, Curtis said he had checked on them but was unable to forward them to the clerk/treasurer, he said he would try to forward the information to her another way.
            Larry Wilson asked if the light in the park had been repaired yet and Mike Ray said it had. Mike Kelley asked when the lights get repaired in the park and threw out the town are LED lights getting installed, Larry asked Jim Hall to check on this.
           Mike Kelley also asked about the payoff for the sewage loan, Larry explained it was a forty year loan and the town is half way through to payoff.
            A motion was made by Tonya Cox and seconded by Jim Hall to pay the towns claims in the amount of $37,672.10, the water department claims in the amount of $13,671.57, the wastewater claims in the amount of $6,900.66, and storm water in the amount of $2,346.34. The motion carried by voice vote. 
            The meeting was adjourned at 7:15pm with a motion by Tonya Cox and seconded by Jim Hall, the motion carried by voice vote.
