Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Smith, Phyllis Lambert and Jim Moore and our attorney Henry Antonini were present. A motion was made by Jim Hall and seconded by Tonya to accept the minutes of the June meeting and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
Jim Hall had Barnhart Home Improvement look at replacing the 4 remaining windows and wrap the other two. An estimate of $1800.00 was received. A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by Phyllis to go ahead with the work. The motion carried by voice vote.
Leonard asked that a request that was tabled on 7/20/10 be addressed. After discussion a motion was made by Tonya and seconded by Phyllis to not allow temporary meters for lawn watering and to continue the present policy. The motion carried by voice vote. It was also noted by Henry that the purpose of the system is to supply water for consumption. If it is used for any other purpose, that is a personal choice. The Town does have temporary meters to be used for new pool fills.
Sue advised that the wells are holding up so far. The trailer on Third Street has been removed and the grass cut. The lot on First still needs cleaned. If not cleaned by Monday, the Council agreed that the Town should clean it. Larry will talk with Kanizer about his lot. A complaint was also received on the White property on First.
The Council approved receiving estimates on topping and removal of two trees on the west side of the Town Hall.
A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by Jim Moore to pay the Town claims in the amount of $12,245.86, the water department claims in the amount of $8,924.23 and the wastewater claims in the amount of $14,812.29. The motion carried by voice vote.
