Council Meeting Minutes for July 8, 2025

                                            Minutes of the July 8th, 2025 Meeting

          The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday July 8th, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members Larry Natalie, Tonya Cox, Larry Wilson, Jim Moore, and Attorney Henry Antonini all present. Jim Hall was absent. A motion was made by Tonya Cox and seconded by Larry Wilson to accept the minutes of the June meeting and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
          Tonya mentioned the property on Davis St. she said there is a lot more junk across from the trailer and up by the water tower there is an old truck partly in the road full of junk that needs looked into. Larry Wilson mentioned that at 4th and Davis the weeds are getting high and are above the fence making it hard to see around it.
          Tonya said since the last meeting she has spoken to Patrece Dayton who has given her the name of Karen Snyder who is also with THRIVE as someone to contact about the sidewalks in town, Karen works with the community crossing grants, Tonya said she already has a meeting set up with her to come and look at the town’s sidewalks.
          Larry gave an update on the installation of the new park equipment, he said it should be done in about a week or so, they still have to install the see saw, also there will be three new benches to add to the park, those will be installed in the areas where the activities are, then all that’s left is to dress up the areas where the new equipment was installed.
         A motion was made by Tonya Cox and seconded by Larry Wilson to pay the towns claims in the amount of $11,665.18, water department claims in the amount of $17,927.00, the wastewater claims in the amount of $21,533.41, and storm water in the amount of $2,346.34. The motion carried by voice vote
         Larry asked how much the waste removal was for the town and Milisa said the sludge removal was $12,410.00
         The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 pm with a motion by Tonya Cox and seconded by Jim Moore, the motion carried by voice vote.
