                                     Minutes of the October 14, 2014 Meeting


               The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, October 14,2014 at 7:00
p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members Jim HaIL Larry Natalie, Tonya Smith, Phyllis Lambert and Jim Moore and Attorney Henry Antonini was present. A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by Phyllis to accept the minutes of the September meeting(with correction of adding "t" to complain) and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
               Sue advised that a chili supper fund raiser for the fire department will be held on November 8. She requested that Council members consider donating funds to help purchase supplies.
               Larry Beard asked about the ordinance on the 4-way stop at 3rd and Kibby. An ordinance will be ready for the next meeting. Sue will check with the State to see if the original signs at Kibby & SR 63 were STOP and ifthey would replace them.
               Ordinance 2014-7 AN ORDINANCE FOR APPROPRIATIONS AND TAX RATE was read. A Motion was made by Tonya and seconded by Jim Hall to pass said ordinance. The motion carried by voice vote.
               Jim Hall advised that he is making a list of park equipment that needs repaired/replaced.
               Leonard Akers advised that there was a mess from where the trees had been trimmed
on Railroad. Sue advised it was scheduled to be cleaned up soon.
               Thane Doane requested a Children Playing Sign at 3rd and 4th on Fulton.
               Tonya advised that a Halloween event will be held on 9th Street on Halloween night.
               It was noted that County Clerk Florinda Pruitt received an election grant to replace the Town Hall's doors.
               A motion was made by Phyllis and seconded by Tonya to pay the Town claims in the amount of $25,099.54, the water department claims in the amount of $18,982.53 and the wastewater claims in the amount of $I 1,965.37. The motion carried by voice vote.
               The meeting adjourned at 7:32 p.m. with a motion by Jim Hall and seconded by Tonya The motion carried by voice vote.
