Minutes of the September 12, 2006 Meeting
The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members James Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Smith and David Crane and attorney Henry Antonini were present. Norma Snedeker was absent.
The minutes of the August meetings and financial report were approved with a motion by Tonya and seconded by David. The motion carried by voice vote.
Teresa advised that she received estimates from two contractors on the acoustical problem. After reviewing the estimates and work proposed, a motion was made by Tonya and seconded by Jim to have Ed Vrzina proceed with his plan. The motion carried by voice vote.
A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by David to approve the 2007 Budget as presented. The motion carried by voice vote.
Joe Summers complained about a rotten tree on Parke. Sue will get estimates for the removal.
A mobile home permit was approved for Jim Hanner and Traci Devins to place a mobile home at 708 E. 3rd St. with a motion by Tonya and seconded by David. The motion carried by voice vote.
Resolution 2006-2, a three- year capital improvement plan, was read and a motion was made by Jim and seconded by Tonya to pass said resolution. The motion carried by voice vote.
An additional appropriation meeting was set for September 26, 2006 at 7:00 pm.
Jim Ferguson questioned the repair of Fulton Street by Kanizer excavating. He will be contacted. Leonard suggested contractors post a bond before doing work.
Steve Bobbin questioned the ordinances/Indiana Codes concerning the use of ATV's on Town streets. He was advised that there are no Town ordinances allowing this and that the county ordinance does not apply to Fairview Park, therefore State Statute would apply.
A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by David to pay the Town claims in the amount of $15,348.76, the wastewater claims of $8,008.48 and the Water department claims in the amount of $6,863.09. The motion carried by voice vote.
The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m. with a motion by David and seconded by Jim. The motion carried by voice vote.

The Town Council held a public meeting on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. Roll call was taken with council members James Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Smith and David Crane present. Norma Snedeker was absent.
Additional Appropriation Resolution 2006-3 was read and a motion to approve said resolution was made by David and seconded by Tonya. The motion carried by voice vote.
The meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m. with a motion by Tonya and seconded by David. The motion carried by voice vote.
