                Minutes of the September 9, 2008 Meeting
       The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members James Hall, Larry Natalie, Janet Troglio, and David Crane and Attorney Henry L. Antonini present. Absent was council member Norma Snedeker.
       The minutes of the August meeting and financial report were approved with a motion by David and seconded by Janet. The motion carried by voice vote.
          Teresa advised that cable TV are the only lines on the pole on Parke and that they advised they would move the lines in a timely fashion.
          Mike Kelley thanked the Town employees for trimming the trees on Parke.
          Jim Hall received a Thank You from Clinton Little League Baseball for the field lights that were given to them. A Thank You also appeared in the Clintonian.
          Jim Moore advised that the Chicken BBQ went well and that they are still considering moving the BBQ pits, but it is still in the talking stages.
           Larry will contact Mr. Ellsworth concerning the grant applications.
           Clinton Township Water Representative, Jim Lucas asked permission to mount a transmitting antennae on our water tower. They are having a survey done tomorrow to know for sure what they need to do. The antennae would be insured by them. A motion was made by David and seconded by Janet to allow Clinton Township Water Dept to install an antennae if the survey shows the need. The motion carried by voice vote.
           Teresa read the totals proposed for the 2009 budget. No questions were presented. A motion was made by Jim and seconded by David to adopt the 2009 Budget. The motion carried by voice vote.
           Jim Moore advised the fire department will be taking over the maintenance of the EOC radios. The additional expense of approximately $2,300 a year would be incurred.
           Sue advised that work needed to be done on the wells and tank. The south well capacity dropped 50%. It was recommended cleaning and repair costing approx. $20,000. The water tower needs cleaned and painted inside and out. Leary Construction estimated a cost of $16,900 plus $4 per rabbit and pit. The Council approved the work.
           A question was raised about handling a large water leak. The Council advised to treat all water customers the same and advise the owner to fix immediately.
           A motion was made by Jim and seconded by Janet to pay the Town claims in the amount of $27,242.03, the wastewater claims of $9,213.56 and the Water department claims in the amount of $9,946.77. The motion carried by voice vote.
          The meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m. with a motion by David and seconded by Jim. The motion carried by voice vote.
