Meeting Minutes for September 9, 2025

                             Minutes of the September 9th, 2025 Meeting

           The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday September 9th, 2025 at 7:00p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Cox, Larry Wilson, and Jim Moore all present, Attorney Henry Antonini was absent. A motion was made by Tonya Cox and seconded by Jim Moore to accept the minutes of the August meeting and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
           Tonya asked about the progress on the property by Tom Luft, Mike Strader said it’s improving, they have cleaned up a lot of the front yard and are working on the side yard now.
           Larry asked about the trailer on Lincoln St., Mike said the neighbors have reported someone there all hours of the night building fires however he has been by several times and hasn’t seen anyone yet. Mike also mentioned he is trying to inform residents and others who come into town about the golf cart ordinance we have in place, Larry said Mike has pulled over more than ten carts so far. 
           Tonya mentioned the junk cars around town and Mike said he is making a list
of all the ones he sees
           Resident Frank Perrelle asked to have his street that is N. Davis St. made into a oneway street, Larry said he is still looking into it and it could be difficult because of bus traffic. Frank also said the street could use some work and Larry said he would have Mike Klyaic grade it, Larry explained that back when 911 went into effect all streets and alleys had to be named and he believes that the area on that side was an alley.
           2026 Budget Hearing for the towns budgets was held with the clerk/treasurer reading the towns budgets aloud, the adoption for these budgets will be held at the October 14th meeting.
           Larry mentioned that the town has entered the next round of grant funding since the town did not get accepted in the first round, He said we have added a few other items to the grant hoping that it will help with the point system and that the second round will be awarded in December of this year.
           A motion was made by Tonya Cox and seconded by Larry Wilson to pay the towns claims in the amount of $16,746.62, water department claims in the amount of $22,406.57, the wastewater claims in the amount of $13,166.50, and storm water in the amount of $2,346.34. The motion carried by voice vote
           The meeting was adjourned at 7:15 pm with a motion by Jim Hall and seconded by Tonya Cox, the motion carried by voice vote.
