                                 Minutes of the April 8, 2008 Meeting

   The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members James Hall, Larry Natalie, Janet Troglio, David Crane and Norma Snedeker and Attorney Henry L. Antonini present.
   The minutes of the March meeting and financial report were approved with a motion by Norma and seconded by David. The motion carried by voice vote.
   Larry advised that Eric Smith resubmitted the hydrology study to the IURC. Pat Callahan advised that he had talked with Mr. Pettijohn who has still not received the study. Mr. Callahan will pursue getting the study into the hands of Mr. Pettijohn.
   Jim Moore advised that the fire department will be buying 2 defibrillators plus supplies at $2,695 each. The chicken BBQ is set for April 26th.
    Sue advised that Mr. Beverly wants to put in rock in the alley between Fulton and Gilbert and between 4th and 5th streets at his expense. And that he will maintain it. Henry advised to have Mr. Beverly write a formal letter advising that he wants to donate rock and time to improve that public right of way.
     Leonard Akers questioned a brush pile on 1st Street behind the liquor store. Larry will check.
    Jim requested an ad be placed in the paper to keep dogs on a leash.
    Questions were asked concerning a limit on gas usage and that the Council look at gas consumption for Town owned vehicles.
    A motion was made by Janet and seconded by Norma to pay the Town claims in the amount of $8,112.46, the wastewater claims of $7,561.37 and the Water department claims in the amount of $9,884.26. The motion carried by voice vote.
  The meeting adjourned at 7:28 p.m. with a motion by David and seconded by Jim. The motion carried by voice vote.
