                       Minutes of the February 8, 2011 Meeting


            The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Jim Snider, David Crane and Jim Moore and attorney Henry L. Antonini present. A motion was made by Jim Moore and seconded by Jim Snider to accept the minutes of the January meeting and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
            Sue questioned the use of alleys this spring by trash haulers. The Marshal Department will contact the trash haulers and advise them not to use the unimproved alleys as warranted.
            Mr. & Mrs. Doane questioned the progress/status of the nuisance property belonging to David Wright on Fulton Street. After discussion Henry advised the Marshal to fine Mr. Wright daily.
            Sue questioned the sewer billing of a possible residence on Cherry Street. Henry advised her how to handle it.
            The 2011 Wastewater Budget was presented. A motion was made by Jim Hall and seconded by Jim Moore to accept the budget. The motion carried by voice vote.
            Resolution 2011-2, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION SUBMISSION AND LOCAL MATCH COMMITMENT was read. A motion was made by Jim Moore and seconded by Jim Snider to pass said resolution. The motion carried by voice vote.
            Questions were raised about the stop/yield signs by SR 63. It was advised that the State Highway is responsible for those signs. Sue will contact them requesting replacement.
            New resident Charles Denim introduced himself and commended the Street Dept for their excellent job this winter.
            Butch advised that the radar units have been received and 2 are installed.
            Don Klinge, new fire chief advised that he is still working on a grant.
            Sue advised that Ron Stateler, probation officer, asked if the Town was interested in using community service people. It was decided to check with our insurance agent about coverage before a decision is made.
            A motion was made by Jim Hall and seconded by David to pay the Town claims in the amount of $10,754.09, the water department claims in the amount of $9,521.08 and the wastewater claims in the amount of $7,320.26. The motion carried by voice vote.
            The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m. with a motion by David and seconded by Jim Snider. The motion carried by voice vote.
