                     Minutes of the January 11, 2011 Meeting


         The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Jim Snider, David Crane and Jim Moore and attorney Henry L. Antonini present. A motion was made by Jim Hall and seconded by David to accept the minutes of the December meeting and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
         Butch advised that the radar units have been ordered.
         Larry advised that the grant is proceeding according to the timeline.
         A motion was made by Jim Snider and seconded by Jim Moore to retain all current personnel. The motion carried by voice vote
          A motion was made by Jim Hall and seconded by Jim Moore to renew the engineering contract with H.W. & C, the Fire Department contract and the WWTP operator contract. The motion carried by voice vote.
         Transfer Resolution 2011-1 was read and a motion was made by Jim Moore and seconded by Jim Snider to allow the transfers. The motion carried by voice vote.
          A motion was made by Jim Hall and seconded by Jim Moore to approve the Clerk-Treasurer's bonds. The motion carried by voice vote.
         Don Klinge introduced himself as the new fire chief. He advised that the department had applied for a grant for new rescue tools in the amount of $67,000 and is looking for available grant money for new pagers. The department has 19 members currently.
         Butch advised that the Marshal's department is putting in several hours of patrol especially in the mornings.
         There was a complaint voiced about the deplorable condition of the property located at 2nd and Towne Streets currently owned by Doug Waters.
         A motion was made by David and seconded by Jim Snider to pay the Town claims in the amount of $14,139.82, the water department claims in the amount of $8,826.70 and the wastewater claims in the amount of $8,235.23. The motion carried by voice vote.
          The meeting adjourned at 8:21 p.m. with a motion by David and seconded by Jim Snider. The motion carried by voice vote.
