Minutes of the July 7, 2006 Executive Meeting
The Town Council held an executive meeting on July 7, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the town hall. Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, David Crane and Norma Snedeker present. Council member Tonya Smith was absent.
The Council received information classified as confidential by state or federal statute. The governing body certifies that no subject matter was discussed in the executive session other than the subject matter specified in the public notice.
The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m. with a motion by Norma and seconded by David. The motion carried by voice vote.

Minutes of the July 11, 2006 Meeting
The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members James Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Smith, David Crane and Norma Snedeker and attorney Henry Antonini were present.
The minutes of the June meeting, July executive meeting and financial report were approved with a motion by Tonya and seconded by Norma. The motion carried by voice vote.
John Newman has drafted a letter to accompany a copy of the nuisance ordinance to be delivered to those property owners in violation. John advised that he would be delivering the copies within the next week.
Teresa advised that she did find a couple of other places on line that sold the acoustical tile a little cheaper. She will try to get at least 2 estimates to install the tile.
Joe Summers complained about a rotten tree on Parke. Sue will check.
Leonard Akers felt there are a few areas of the nuisance ordinance that need tweaked.
John Newman advised that he would be implementing a neighborhood watch program with the initial meeting for all interested set for July 18, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. He also advised that the State Fire Marshal would be present.
Melisa Buel from the Vermillion County Health Department presented a short informational program on the anticipated pandemic influenza outbreak. She also had handouts for all those interested.
Leonard Akers thanked the Fire Department for their help with the placement of the flags.
A motion was made by Jim and seconded by David to pay the Town claims in the amount of $8,662.00, the wastewater claims of $5,998.39 and the Water department claims in the amount of $8,135.52. The motion carried by voice vote.
