                            Minutes of the July 8, 2008 Meeting


         The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members James Hall, Larry Natalie, Janet Troglio and David Crane and Attorney Henry L. Antonini present.
         The minutes of the June meeting and financial report were approved with a motion by Janet and seconded by Jim. The motion carried by voice vote.
         Larry advised that he had not contacted Historic Landmarks yet.
         Curt Nestler complained of a neighbor juvenile riding a 4 wheeler making excessive noise and dust. He has contacted Marshal Newman with no resolution. Larry advised that he would check the ordinance and talk with Henry and John. Mr. Nestler also complained of his other neighbor burning trash. Marshal Newman indicated that the next time it occurred to contact him and a citation would be issued. Mrs. Nestler requested a "Children Playing" sign be posted in the 100 block of Gilbert Street due to speeding vehicles. A sign will be ordered and installed. She was also concerned with the traffic speed and accidents on SR 63 through Fairview Park. After some discussion Larry advised that he would check with Ellsworth and Grubb for advisement and assistance in this matter.
         Jim Moore thanked the town employees and Larry for their help during the flooding. He advised that he had contacted his insurance agent about flood insurance and was told Fairview Park has not signed up for the flood insurance plan. He also advised that he had contacted FEMA and they told him that all of Vermillion County except Cayuga was members. Teresa will check Fairview Park's status.
         Property owners have been notified of weeds, tall grass, etc...concluding phase of the nuisance process. Phase two will begin next.
         Leonard Akers would like to see a list of citations issued in the paper or minutes.
         A motion was made by Jim and seconded by Janet to pay the Town claims in the amount of $10,263.18, the wastewater claims of $11,517.50 and the Water department claims in the amount of $9,877.29. The motion carried by voice vote.
         The meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m. with a motion by Janet and seconded by Jim. The motion carried by voice vote.
