                                      Town of Fairview Park
Minutes of the July 13, 2010 Meeting

The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Jim Snider and David Crane and attorney Henry L. Antonini present. Absent were council members Larry Natalie and Jim Moore.
Jim Hall conducted the meeting in Larry Natalie's absence. A motion was made by David and seconded by Jim Snider to accept the minutes of the June meetings and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
Sue advised that she has checked with several people and cannot find a licensed Category 8 operator for mosquito spraying. She was advised of 2 more persons to try. A motion was made by Jim Snider and seconded by David to pursue retaining a category 8 operator and begin spraying. The motion carried by voice vote.
Henry advised that there is nothing preventing the council from passing a no phone zone ordinance, but questions the effectiveness and enforceability of said. It was decided to check with Marshal Garver and the high school to get their input.
The status of the Zucca property will need to be discussed with the Marshal.
Stan Dugger felt the Town should offer meters for sale to use on garden hose for filling pools and watering lawns. He felt that being charged for sewer on water not entering the sewer system was unfair. He asked if purchasing meters was not feasible that a sprinkler rate be implemented during the summer. It was decided to continue the discussion at the next meeting when all council members would be present.
A question was raised concerning the responsibility of trees on Chestnut that have dead limbs. Sue and Jim Moore will look at the trees.
