Town of Fairview Park
                              Minutes of the June 9th, 2020 Meeting
              The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday June 9th, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal 
Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, 
Larry Natalie, Tonya Cox, Larry WilsonJ,m Moore and Attorney Henry Antonini all present. A motion 
was made by Tonya Cox and seconded by Jim Moore to accept the minutes of the May meeting and 
financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
              Mosquito spraying was discussed briefly, Sue wanted the board to know that the chemicals had been 
ordered and spraying would start June 11th. The spraying will be done on Tuesdays and Thursdays 
weather permitting between 5 and 7am.
               Curtis spoke about the properties that are in violation of the town's ordinance's, he said
his department had spoken to several home owners about cleaning up their properties. He mentioned a 
property on Lincoln St. that looked abandoned that his department had four cars towed away from and 
by the end of the week three more will be towed he said the property
owner did show up and has done some clean- up work to the property. Curtis said that on Jackson, 
Davis, Gilbert and Kibby streets his department had spoken to several residents about tall grass on 
their properties, Curtis also mentioned that his deputies have been stopping some golf carts, side 
by sides and even a dirt bike that have been driving thru town, he said they are just giving 
warnings right now and explaining the town's ordinance on these off road vehicles.
              Larry spoke briefly about changing the town's golf cart ordinance to allow these off road vehicles 
he said he is not 100% in favor ofthe change due to safety concerns however he
has asked Henry to look into making some changes to the ordinance.
              Larry gave a update on the town's new police car that was purchased it's a 20 16 Dodge Charger with 
several additions already installed on the car, Larry said with all the additions to the car the 
value of it was approximately $35,000.00 and the town was able to purchase  it for
$14,229.00. Larry mentioned that this car was not purchased thru the ORCA grant and he is 
interested into possibly getting another car.
               Larry spoke about the CCMG work that was done, the work is complete and the final amount was 
$85,723.41 with the town's portion being 25% of that amount. He told the
clerk/treasurer not to issue the check just yet for the work that was done until HWC can verify the 
tonnage report. Tonya mentioned that there is a drop off along the side of the road where the work 
was done Larry said the town will probably have to take care of that
               Milisa informed the board that the dust oil will be shot next week Sue said she will get the gravel 
roads ready.
               Resolution 2020-1 Transfer of Funds to the CCMG was read in full and again by title only Tonya Cox 
made the motion to allow with Jim Hall seconding the motion, motion carries
by voice vote.
               Larry informed the board about an inspection at the sewer plant that had taken place
that day he said the inspector wanted a copy of a grease ordinance, he explained that if the town 
does not have one we will have to draft one, he said that for some reason the plant is receiving a 
lot of grease and it has to be looked into.
              Fire chief Chad Moore said his department is up to 14 members.
              Larry Wilson asked if the town hall could be rented out in July anLarry said he believes so as long 
as we follow the state's guidelines.
               A motion was made by Tanya Cox and seconded  by Jim Moore to pay the towns
claims in the amount of$134,151.02 the water department claims in the amount of $9,972.47
and the wastewater claims in the amount of$10,007.89 with bond payment of$26,506.89. The
motion carried by voice vote.
              The meeting was adjourned at 7:30pm with a motion by Tanya Cox and seconded by
Jim Moore, The motion carried by voice vote.
