Town of Fairview Park
Minutes of the March 8th, 2016 Meeting
               The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday March 8th, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited.  Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Smith, Phyllis Lambert, Jim Moore, and attorney Henry Antonini was all present. A motion was made by Tonya Smith and seconded by Phyllis Lambert to accept the minutes of the February meeting and financial report.  The motion carried by voice vote.
               Henry Antonini spoke about the town hall rental agreement, he said the new agreement is done, and he would send a copy of it to Milisa by e-mail.
                Neal Costello updated the board on the fire dept. renovations, Neil said they had two more contractors but no figures yet and they are going to try to get two more quotes.
                Larry moved the discussion of the property on Cherry St. to old business since it has been discussed before. Larry spoke to the board about what could the town do with the property on Cherry St. he said he had been ask if the town could do anything with the owners of this property to move them along in cleaning it up. Larry wondered if any other county agency could help with this problem. Mike Kelley asked if the owners had insurance at the time of the fire, Neil Costello said he had spoken to the owners and he believes they did not, Mike thought that might be an option for the town. Henry said that the town should contact the owners first by letter to see what their intentions are before anything is done
                Joan Doan ask what the payoff was for the sewage plant, Larry was not sure but said we could get the answer for her by the next meeting.
                Phyllis spoke about a dog problem in her neighborhood.
                Sue stated that the bathrooms at the park would be opened on March 18th.
                Doug Martin ask if there was any ordinances about putting up signs or going door to door in Fairview, Sue said no signs can go in the tree rows and Larry said not to obstruct any of the intersections with signs or banners.
                A motion was made by Jim Hall and seconded by Jim Moore to pay the town claims in the amount of $9,749.22, the water department claims in the amount of $10,394.34 and the wastewater claims in the amount of $8,837.50.  The motion carried by voice vote.
                The meeting was adjourned at 7:15 p.m. with a motion by Tonya Smith and seconded by Phyllis Lambert. The motion carried by voice vote
