                               Minutes of the May 9, 2006 Meeting

   The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members James Hall, Larry Natalie, David Crane and Norma Snedeker and attorney Henry Antonini were present. Tonya Smith was absent.
   The minutes of the April meeting and financial report were approved with a motion by Norma and seconded by Jim. The motion carried by voice vote.
   John Newman reported that some cleanup had taken place at both properties on Jackson Street. He will meet with them within the next couple weeks and set a time frame for completion. John advised that he would contact the railroad concerning the condition of the crossing on Fourth Street. John also informed the Council that he was looking into a tranquilizer gun for dogs as he is having huge problems with strays.
   Larry advised that no decision on summer sprinkler rates had been made. Our rate consultant looked at the books last week and will submit his recommendation.
   A motion was made by David and seconded by Jim to pay the Town claims in the amount of   $10,698.61, the wastewater claims of $8,121.90 and the Water department claims in the amount of $6,644.81. The motion carried by voice vote.
   The meeting adjourned at 7:12 p.m. with a motion by David and seconded by Norma. The motion carried by voice vote.
