                                 Minutes of the May 14, 2019 Meeting

                The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday May 14th, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited.  Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Cox, Larry Wilson, Jim Moore and Attorney Henry Antonini all present. A motion was made by Tonya Cox and seconded by Larry Wilson to accept the minutes of the April meeting and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
                There was nothing new for the town marshal update. Curtis did mention the ongoing problems with the police cars though.
                Next the sale of the surplus property, since there was no sealed bids received Tonya made a motion to extend the sale of the surplus property for another thirty days, Jim Moore seconded the motion, motion carried by voice vote.
                Larry mentioned that it has been brought to his attention that an owner has a piece of property that they wish to turn over to the town. The property is located on Third St. and is the seconded house off of Kibby St. Larry said there will probably be a need for demolition and cleanup of the property, after some discussion a motion was made by Tonya Cox to table the decision on this till the June meeting, Jim Moore seconded the motion, motion carried by voice vote
                Ron Shepard informed the board that the construction of the storm water project has started back up as of May 14th. Sue had some concerns about the water meter lids in a few areas being very low, Ron said they will be raised back up before the project is done.
                Sue had some proposals for the board for the roof on the maintenance building, she informed the board that the roof has been leaking , Larry asked that copies of the proposals be made for the board to look over and they will discuss it at the next meeting. Sue also asked the board if it would be alright to place the new stop signs on Lincoln St. after school gets out for the summer so everyone could get use to them before school starts back up in August, the board said that would be fine.
                A resident expressed some concern about a noise problem on Fifth St. Curtis said he will take care of it.
                A request for payment on payout #8 to Kanizers Excavating in the amount of $15,588.00 was made, Tonya Cox made the motion to pay the amount to Kanizers Excavating and Larry Wilson seconded the motion, motion carried by voice vote.
                A motion was made by Jim Hall and seconded by Tonya Cox to pay the towns claims in the amount of $13,541.59 the water department claims in the amount of $19,097.55 and the wastewater claims in the amount of $9,632.84. The motion carried by voice vote.
                The meeting was adjourned at 7:25pm with a motion by Tonya Cox and seconded by Jim Hall. The motion carried by voice vote.
