                                         Minutes of the November 13, 2007 Meeting


       The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members James Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Smith, David Crane and Norma Snedeker and Attorney Henry L. Antonini present.
       The minutes of the October meeting and financial report were approved with a motion by Norma and seconded by Tonya. The motion carried by voice vote.
        Larry advised that Rick would be changing the filters at the Railroad Street lift station within the next day or so.
         Information is still being received on the EOC equipment.
         Teresa advised that the 2007 budget had been cut by IDLGF. The general fund was cut $6,015.00 and the LRS was cut $7,270.00.
         It was questioned whether money that was transferred out of the Riverboat wagering and Rainy Day funds would be transferred back after receiving tax money. The council advised that they would look at that next year.
         It was advised that there are no sewer adjustments for filling of swimming pools at this time, but will look at adopting an ordinance in the future.
         Larry Beard requested that all fund balances be read at public meetings.
         Jim Moore advised of a cadet program that the Fire Dept would like to start for 16 and 17 year olds. He will check insurance costs and also forward a copy of the rules and regulations to the Council. A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by David to approve the program. The motion carried by voice vote. Jim advised that all gear is in excellent condition except 3 pants and 2 helmets, which are being taken care of. He also advised that there has been a problem with people parking in the 2 spaces reserved for firemen. Bill will advise all building renters not to park in these spaces.
        A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by David to pay the Town claims in the amount of $60,251.77, the wastewater claims of $5,387.13 and the Water department claims in the amount of $11,439.71. The motion carried by voice vote.
        The meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m. with a motion by David and seconded by Tonya. The motion carried by voice vote.
