                     Minutes of the October 12, 2010 Meeting


          The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Jim Snider, David Crane and Jim Moore and attorney Henry L. Antonini present.
          A motion was made by Jim Hall and seconded by Jim Moore to accept the minutes of the September meetings and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
          The 2011 budget was presented and motion was made by Jim  Moore and seconded by David to accept the budget as presented. The motion carried by voice vote.
          It was advised that the bus on the Wright property was tagged and moved to a different location on the property. No word has been received on the fire hazard status. Butch has
contacted the Health Dept. If the property is condemned, the property owner either has to clean
up to code or tear the structure down. The Health Dept. recommended that the Town pass an unsafe building ordinance similar to the county's.
          A resident complained of dogs barking on Parke Street and questioned if there was a limit on the number of dogs a person can have. The Marshal's department will check into.
          A complaint of speeders on Pike & Jackson Streets was voiced. The Marshal's Department will check.
          Larry advised that the Town did not receive the grant. The grant administrator continue with an application for a different grant.
Sue advised that new flags are needed. Jim Moore will check on prices and purchase.
          Mr. Kelshiemer requested one of the goal post from the ball park for a flag pole. His request was approved.
          Sue advised that First and Fulton Streets need repairs to the road as it is a main turn off for school busses. Arkie Oaks submitted a proposal for $2,150. A motion was made by Jim Moore and seconded by Jim Snider to approve the work. The motion carried by voice vote.
          Sue advised that the maintenance on the south well has been done and it is okay. The north well needs to be pulled and inspected, but will probably be done next spring.
          Trick or Treat is set for October 31st from 6 to 9 p.m.
          Jim Moore advised that the burning ban is still in effect.
          Larry Beard questioned the status of the WWTP. Larry Natalie advised him that the plant was doing okay.
          A motion was made by Jim Moore and seconded by Jim Hall to pay the Town claims in the amount of $8,478.41, the water department claims in the amount of $7,191.99 and the wastewater claims in the amount of $7,758.99. The motion carried by voice vote.
          The meeting adjourned at 8:57 p.m. with a motion by Jim Snider and seconded by Jim Moore. The motion carried by voice vote.
