            Minutes of the September 8, 2015 Meeting


         The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday September 8th at 7:00p.m. at
the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council
members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Smith, Phyllis Lambert and Jim Moore and attorney
Henry Antonini were present. A motion was made by Tonya and seconded by Phyllis Lambert
to accept the minutes of the August meeting and financial report. The motion carried by voice
vote.
         Larry Natalie ask attorney Henry Antonini if he had found out anything about the town
hall rental agreement, Henry stated he had not seen the agreement yet and more information
was needed from the towns insurance company, John Sanquenetti ask if Milisa could get in
touch with Forrest Sherer to get the information for Henry.
         Don Klinge stated that the old towm hall work was complete, and a good job was done.
         Leonard Akers ask about the mobile home ordinance from the August meeting and had
questions about other ordinances, and the order they were in and how they are kept.
The 2016 Budget was read aloud and there was no questions concerning the budget at
this time.
        Resolution #2015-4 Storm water Drainage was read aloud and Larry spoke briefly
about the project and funding of the project, motion to adopt the resolution was made by Tonya
Smith and seconded by Jim Moore, motion carried by voice vote.
        A town resident had a complaint about a house in the 1400 block of north 9th St.
(Washington St.), he summited photos of the complaints he had, Curtis Stoffel was asked if him
or Mike Strader would check in to this.
       Sue Crossley stated the tower people are in town and will be working on our tower
starting on Sept. 9th or 1Oth, she said the tower will be down about 3 weeks and there could be
some pressure problems while the work is being done, she said a notice would be but in the
newspaper.
        Larry Natalie introduced Ordinance 2015-5 An Ordinance of the Town of Fairview
Park, IN. creating a Dept. of Storm Water Management and a Special Taxing District, this was
public notice of the ordinance an a public hearing will be held at a later date.
        Leonard Akers ask about having the towns meetings put in the Clintonian, he stated
that he had checked into having this done but was told there was some kind of ordinance
preventing it, Milisa said she would look in to it, He also ask about having the fund balances in
the meeting minutes.
         Don Klinge stated he was looking into a grant for the fire dept. for a fill station, he also
asked for help from the town for electrical issues in the fire house, rewiring and new electrical
box, it was stated he must get estimates to present to the board, he said he would have them by
next meeting.
         Mike Kelley reminded the board about the drain on 3rd and Washington.
        A motion was made by Jim Hall and seconded by Tonya Smith to pay the town claims
in the amount of $14,979.77, the water department claims in the antount of $13,194.35 and the
wastewater claims in the amount of $9513.35. The motion carried by voice vote.
        The meeting was adjourned at 7:45p.m. with a motion by Tanya Smith and seconded
by Phyllis Lambert. The motion carried by voice vote
