                                    Meeting Minutes for September 11, 2018

           The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday September11th, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited.  Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Cox, Larry Wilson, Jim Moore and Attorney Henry Antonini was all present. A motion was made by Tonya Cox and seconded by Larry Wilson to accept the minutes of the August meeting and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
           The town marshal was not present to give the marshal’s update.
           Larry Natalie gave a quick update on the storm water project, he said the project is approximately 50% complete and due to the rainy weather the crews are going back and dressing up some of the areas and one small hold up is they are waiting on some pipe and a fitting for Forth St. Larry said everything is moving as it should.
            Next is a request for authorized signature on disbursements 4, 5, & 6 for payments to HWC Engineering and to Kanizers Excavating with a stipulation that they will not be processed till the grant administrator receives all the documentation she needs, Tonya Cox made the motion to sign the disbursement documents with the stipulation not to date them, Jim Hall seconded the motion, motion carried by voice vote.
           Leonard Akers reminded the board about the acoustics problem in the town hall.
           Resident Emily Payne requested that the surplus properties be re-advertised for bid, she said she did not realize they had been advertised once already, Henry said it could be done just change the dates and deadline, Tonya Cox made the motion to re-advertise the properties with the deadline for the sealed bids being October 9th 2018 at 4:00p.m. Jim Moore seconded the motion, motion carried by voice vote.
           Mike Kelly ask about the trees behind the park being overgrown and Neil Costello ask if the town marshal could check the property beside his on Washington St. he was wanting to know if there are any hazardous materials that have been left on the property he said the property is very overgrown and it’s hard to tell, Tonya suggested that he talk to the health department about it, there might be something they could do.
           The 2019 public hearing for the budgets was held with the clerk/treasurer reading the budgets aloud the approval of the budgets will be at the October meeting.
            A motion was made by Jim Hall and seconded by Tonya Cox to pay the towns claims in the amount of $21,136.18 the water department claims in the amount of $19,030.12 the wastewater claims in the amount of $78,106.27. The motion carried by voice vote.
           The meeting was adjourned at 7:30pm with a motion by Tonya Cox and seconded by Jim Moore. The motion carried by voice vote.
