                             Minutes of the September 10th, 2019 Meeting

          The Town Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday September 10th, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The Pledge to the Flag was recited. Roll call was taken with council members Jim Hall, Larry Natalie, Tonya Cox, Larry Wilson, Jim Moore and Attorney Henry Antonini all present. A motion was made by Tonya Cox and seconded by Larry Wilson to accept the minutes of the August meeting and financial report. The motion carried by voice vote.
          Before the town marshal update Eagle Scout Lucas George gave a quick update on the pergola for the town park, he said construction is underway and hopes to have it ready to install by fall break, there was still some questions about the name for the park either Fairview Park Playground or Fairview Community Park.
          Curtis gave his marshal update, he said they are still waiting on a quote for the new car he mentioned one car is in the shop and explained why the third car is parked he said it has several mechanical issues and is not drivable. Deputies Cole West and Michael Ray were also able to attend the meeting tonight.
          The 2020 public hearing for the town’s budgets was held with the clerk/treasurer reading the budgets aloud the adoption for these budgets will be at the next meeting in October.
          Resident Bob Baird requested that a hole in the road by his property be fixed, Sue said she would get it taken care of, he also ask if the town had a noise ordinance Curtis explained the nuisance ordinance that the town does have and noise is included in it.
          Sue gave an update on the water tower, she said it was not as bad a shape as they thought and there will be low pressure for about another ten days in some areas.
           A motion was made by Jim Hall and seconded by Jim Moore to pay the towns claims in the amount of $22,744.20 the water department claims in the amount of $16,981.42 and the wastewater claims $6,217.11 The motion carried by voice vote.
          The meeting was adjourned at 7:25pm with a motion by Tonya Cox and seconded by Jim Moore. The motion carried by voice vote.
