Wastewater Operator Contract
This agreement, made this 1st day of January, 2006, between the Town of Fairview Park, Vermillion County, Indiana, by and through its own Council and George Royal III, hereinafter called "Contractor".
Contractor agrees to the following terms:
1.Inspect all lift stations as needed.
2.Complete wastewater testing and reporting as required by the NPDES permit.
3.Certify and submit all reports to IDEM as required by the NPDES permit.
4.Coordinate the sludge disposal.
5.Perform minor equipment maintenance related to the equipment at the treatment plant.
6.Be responsible for general upkeep at the treatment plant site (excluding lawn care and snow removal.
7.Be responsible for developing and maintaining an inventory of supplies required for the treatment plant including the laboratory.
8.Develop an operating budget for the laboratory.
9.Attend the necessary certifying classes to keep license current.
10. Inspect user lateral construction upon notification by the owner or contractor for conformance with the guidelines for the installation and construction of sewer laterals related to Fairview Park Ordinance #2001-3 and any subsequent amendments.
11. Conduct minor maintenance to the collection system as required.
12. The terms of this contract shall commence on January 1, 2006 and shall terminate on December 31, 2006.
13. Operate the treatment plant in compliance with all State and Federal Environmental laws.
14. Contractor shall be paid $30,000 per year in equal monthly payments, for services rendered under this contract.
